Earlier this evening, we all received the stunning breaking news that Matthew Perry passed away this morning, October 28th, at his home.
After years of struggles with sobriety, it seems that this was a tragic accident.
For many of us who saw Friends in real time as it came out and then have watched it repeatedly in syndication, this is an incredible shock.
Just this past Thursday, I saw this ridiculous Turkey hat at Walmart when I was shopping for Bug’s birthday party and I sent a picture to Courtney with a note that I wanted to restart Friends from the beginning:
We actually started the first several episodes of Season One on Thursday night.
Tonight, my heart just hurts for all of Matthew Perry’s people and for what his loss means to all of us as well.
He was far too young to leave.
