happy tolkien reading day.

Today, March 25th, is designated Tolkien Reading Day – chosen as it is the date of the destruction of the Ring and the Fall of Sauron.

(If that is all Greek to you, then you especially must take this day off work, and observe Tolkien Day uninterrupted, with The Lord of the Rings in your hands. 😉  )

I love the writings of Tolkien and all things Hobbit – and give them even more love today because we will actually be revisiting LOTR in the coming months as it is on our Banned Books list.

*An aside – what sort of dopey muggle bans Lord of the Rings – of all things? Of all the ridiculousness on the Banned Book list, the presence of LOTR is even more befuddling than the usual half-baked reasoning we see.*

That said, I also want to share this lovely graphic I saw for Tolkien Reading Day, with some really interesting information about him.

Wishing you all a Happy Monday and a Happy Reading Day as well. ❤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Grace and Blessings.
