As promised, we will be discussing the Paris Olympics often – and it is finally here, with the magical opening ceremony held earlier today.
(If you haven’t watched it, DO.)
A few highlights in my mind:
– The journey through Paris – Notre Dame, the Louvre, running along the rooftops with the masked torchbearer on land, parallel the athletes water route.
– the Parade of Athletes by boat down the Seine was amazing, absolutely unforgettable. It was unlike any other Olympics and totally Paris.

– The backdrop of the Eiffel Tower – and the stunning light show – absolutely took my breath.

– The Olympic Torch lit in a stunning hot air balloon – as it is the site of the first hydrogen flight in 1783 – is both an incredible feat and another of many wonderful nods to Paris’s history.

– I ♥️ Snoop so much and I love that he is both a torch bearer and also an NBC commentator.

– Finally, getting to hear Celine Dion sing the French national anthem as she is fighting a devastating illness was deeply moving.

It’s going to be a wonderful Olympics, y’all.

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
