Today, Saturday, September 28th, is the last day of Banned Books Week – and it is Let Freedom Read Day, a day focused on actionable steps to fight book bans in all public spaces.
If you would like to participate, I would encourage you to look over the steps listed here on the Banned Books Week page for Let Freedom Read Day and consider what you might do:
Let Freedom Read Day Action Steps.
(Please, no matter what, be sure you are registered to vote in November.)
Also, please consider joining the Unite Against Book Bans Campaign:
Unite Against Book Bans Campaign.
Here on the blog, I will be finishing our Banned Books project – this week’s Banned Books Friday post is about halfway done and will be up soon – and then I’ll be working through the list of current banned books from 2022 as well.
Continuing the fight against book bans is of utmost importance and will be a part of the discussion here at the Autoimmune Hippie as long as it is an ongoing issue in the public sphere.
Wishing you all a lovely Sunday and happy (free) reading.

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
