a (special) triple play tonight – and my better half is the best.

As I write to y’all now, the house is quiet except for Henry snoring next to me. Laundry is folded, order has been restored to the kitchen for the day, and I am so sleepy.

Earlier tonight, we settled in for our dinner and baseball date night (an aside – the Braves package for my better half’s birthday has ended up being one of the best gifts ever I think) – but things were a bit catywhompus.

There was a huge rain delay for the game, Henry was restless and wanting to go in and out, all was just a bit discombobulated.

At one point, I had been up and running around the house doing something and came back and Courtney had paused the TV during Boston’s at bat – which I didn’t really expect.

(I wasn’t sure at first what I could have missed during their at bat that wouldn’t be bad news bears for the Bravos.)

Well, y’all have to know that he is so so thoughtful and never wants me to miss interesting or important things – saving interviews and sending me clips of our teams and favorite athletes just because he is the best ❤ – so he sat and waited to show me something really fantastic that happened he didn’t want me to miss seeing.

The Braves had their first triple play since 2004 – AND the kind of triple play it was (an 8-3-5 triple play) was only the SECOND in baseball history, the last being in 1884.

WOW.

ESPN Braves Triple Play Article.

Though the game didn’t go as we would have liked, it was still such a nifty thing to see – and I’m grateful to get to enjoy the best baseball date nights with my very favorite person. ❤

a Bravos game outing back in 2016. I love you to the moon and back, Baby. ❤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Grace and Blessings.
