Yesterday, I was completely stunned to learn that my lifelong friend Chani, who has been fighting Stage IV breast cancer for several years, passed away during the night. Though she was in stage four – and it is eventually life-ending – she did not expect to leave so soon, having just commented on my Facebook a few weeks ago when Mickodemus crossed the Rainbow Bridge that she and her mom were planning to get another dog – her 12 year old baby Savannah died in May – when they moved.
I am shocked that this has happened so suddenly and just heartbroken for her sweet family.

Though this is just awful right now, our comfort is that she is free from pain after years of brutal treatments and procedures and is with the Lord. We are confident that we will see her again.

She will be missed terribly here though.
Cancer is such a thief.
All my love and prayers to the Childers family during this tragic time.

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
Thank you for posting this. Chani’s social media all disappeared and I wondered if she had passed away so I Googled. She was a special person and will be missed. I’m glad she was my friend. ❤️
