This week has been a heartbreaking one, watching from afar the war in Israel, and reading accounts of those ambushed last Sunday and the horrors they faced, with the massive loss of life – wholesale slaughter, the absolute wickedness of those who attacked, the stories people who have been taken and their families can only wait and hope and pray, and waves of grief and terror that have come since then.
There are no words to meet this awfulness but we grieve deeply with the people of Israel in their suffering.
As we pray for mercy and peace, it seemed appropriate that this week’s fighting words Friday verse be Psalm 34:18.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. – Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Praying for God’s peace for His people. ❤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
