As an immunocompromised person, it seems as if I can’t go more than a month without a course of antibiotics, especially in winter – and in addition to my prophylactic daily antibiotic – but some are admittedly worse than others.
I started one several days ago for my current respiratory malady that proved to be ineffective and a change was made on Tuesday.
The 2.0 version, while not something I’m allergic to, is one I haven’t taken in many years – and, wow, it is packing a punch.

Taking this medication – every six hours – has exacerbated my body pain astonishingly. As the cold is not helping it either – and we are due for the lowest temperatures of the winter so far before I finish this course – these next few days are likely to be unpleasant.
(The arthritic side effect is more common to this antibiotic than some others I usually am given. It has also brought the fatigue and nausea that most of them do – but those side effects I expected.)
Needless to say, I’ll be spending this cold week indoors, bundled up, drinking all the warms, and staying toasty.

Be well, everybody – and stay warm out there. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
