January 27th, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, is observed as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Tonight I am lighting a candle on my home altar in memory of its victims and am thinking also about the devastating events that have occurred recently in Israel as well.

Earlier I saw a thoughtful NPR piece about how today’s day of remembrance feels all the more profound in the light of what is happening now and I wanted to be sure to share it here.

Words fall short – and I feel so small when I try to speak to such an overwhelming loss.
However, especially as we live in a time when history too easily gets cast aside and whitewashed and rewritten, I want to always stop and say, here, we remember. ❤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
