A few days before Valentine’s Day, my better half and I swapped one of our gifts for each other – we are both terrible about waiting sometimes ❤ – and just started laughing because we are a matched set.

Being big Nolan Ryan fans, we unknowingly had a Nolan Valentine’s Day this year, with Courtney buying me a framed picture of Nolan’s infamous enlightening of Robin Ventura (which tickles me to no end) and me getting him a signed baseball.

It could not have worked out more perfectly. ❤

Then, on Valentine’s morning, he surprised me with yellow tulips (flowers are my favorite), Dove Chocolate (one of our things since the very beginning of us), the sweetest Friends Valentine (we miss you, MP), and – oh my word – a copy of the book that was so special to little me called Sarah Plain and Tall.

He knows me well. ❤

I’m having a puny week – ’tis the immunocompromised season – so it was a cozy sort of day with lots of books and rest in my pjs.

My sweet Buggle brought my favorite soup and the cutest weenie dog socks.

I am so so grateful.
