In the midst of a sea of grief in our home, as our precious Bug lost her baby, Goblin, on October 19th and then our Henry on October 26th, Bug turned 21 on the 25th.

Needless to say, this was not how we would have ever wanted things to go – but, in addition to having a dinner out with friends, some days after Bug’s birthday, we had a little Halloween-themed celebration at home with Bug, Ien, Courtney, and me all gathered for treats and a viewing of Misery, for spooky time.

(For Bug’s birthday, Daddy found a fantastic vintage Nintendo as a surprise and there were a few goodies for the start of school in January as well. ❤️)

At our little home party, there were goodies for people and puppies alike – and it was so good to just be together and celebrate our Bug.
