Over the weekend, while we were preparing for the incoming storms, my better half and I had to run to Tractor Supply to pick up puppy food.
(With baby ducks and plants and all sorts of other seasonal goodies to get into, I *love* Tractor Supply.)
While we were there, I did find some duckies.

My wonderful better half also treated me to some new outside plants for our house, including a tray of petunias – and a magnolia tree I am so so stinking excited about.

As I was wearing my overalls while we were doing our plant shopping, I told Courtney I felt like Ouiser Boudreaux in my beloved Steel Magnolias when she is explaining the rules about southern women and gardening.

Thankfully, we came through the storms unscathed – though quite tired.
I slept most of the day it seemed – but late this afternoon I did get my window box planted and set out my magnolia. We will actually place it in the backyard later this week.
(Of course, all of my big gardening will have to be after my surgery – but it was so nice to get a few things out today. ♥️)

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
