I happened to wake during the night and see the breaking news that Pope Francis has gone to be with Jesus, appropriately on Easter Monday.

My heart aches deeply but I know he had been seriously ill and I am reassured that his soul is at peace.

In recent weeks, I have actually read four of his books, including his wonderful autobiography, planning to share a book report about them – because I just adore him.

(I will be collecting my thoughts and writing it in the next day or so.)

For now I just want to say that his gentle spirit will be missed terribly.
