I am sitting in a doctor’s office listening to the mayor of L.A. and other leaders from that immediate area speaking – and I realized that my waiting until I’ve got time to sit and craft the perfect post about all of this terror, all of these human rights violations, all of the daily insanity that comes from the mouth of DJT is unacceptable.

There is no time wait or to waste.

This is digusting.

This is morally reprehensible.

This is terrifying.

To quash the protests that his armed goons are literally grabbing people from their homes, schools, and places of business, a would-be dictator has set the National Guard on the city of Los Angeles – against the express wishes of the mayor of L.A. and the governor of California.

The National Guard deployed against the American people.

I cannot imagine the mental gymnastics to believe this is acceptable, appropriate, or within his actual authority (though he certainly has followers who will support it – until these gross overreaches make way to their front porches).

He’s moving more and more quickly to grab power and suppress and silence the people (at least those of us that aren’t *his* people).

As I write to you, the mayor of a small community within L.A. is speaking on the ICE raid in his city TODAY – where they invaded Home Depot and other local businesses, even arresting an elderly man taking his friend to the doctor.

STOP. THIS.

At the same time, Trump said yesterday that people who protest his vile and flagrantly unamerican military birthday parade will be met with “very heavy force.”

Trump threatens “very heavy force” link.

What?!?

No.

We have the right to protest (unmolested by the president or anyone else) – and, when this travesty is occurring before our very eyes, we have a duty and moral obligation to protest.

In the words of the incredible Audre Lorde, “your silence will not protect you.”

Stand up and speak out, people.

We must.
