As I’ve written before, because I am immunocompromised, I am prone to developing pneumonias that come on quickly and (recently at least) without much warning.
Fortunately, having dealt with this several times now, I know the symptoms that call for an immediate chest X-ray and antibiotic.
Unfortunately, the usual antibiotic I require is ROUGH, I tell you, considering the side effect profile.
Apart from headaches and crazy GI symptoms, this one causes a flu-like exhaustion that tends to lay me out.
(Of course, all this also causes my body to just explode with nerve and joint pain as well. #fixitjesus)

While I am deeply grateful every day to be in a much better space with my health than I have seen in the frequent hospitalization days, it remains that I am sick – and things like this really drive that point home.
There is a delicate balance between getting out and enjoying life, so important in maintaining with these diagnoses, and guarding my fragile health, always a concern.

That said, I am definitely taking a few more sick days, with lots of rest and Dr. Oliver, as I am on the mend.
To my fellow chronic illness peeps, who experience this health roller coaster as well, you are not alone.
As always, onward. 🖤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
