Yesterday was our sweet Lindsey’s birthday, the first without her here with us.
It still doesn’t seem possible sometimes.
It was also an under the weather sort of day for me (some sort of crud has found me) – hence the late post – but I’ve been thinking so much about her and how best to remember her special day each year and a few things have come to mind so far.
As it happens, Lindsey’s birthday is also Random Acts of Kindness Day – and that is so fitting – so we’ll be doing some little things in her memory this (and every) year.
Also, we’re having a grilled cheese and cokes – her favorite – dinner tonight.
Finally, each year, I’ll be adopting or planting a new plant for Lindsey’s birthday. This year, I planted the flowers that were given to us in a gift bag from our church along with this adorable little recycled plastic pot made by the sweet people at Community on the Rise. I had been waiting on the right time to plant it – and Lindsey’s day is it for sure. ❤
In her memory, I want to remind all of my ladies to write your monthly self exams on your calendars and to make sure your mammograms are up to date.
Lindsey lived and loved big and she is so missed and loved. As her life verse, Hebrews 11:1 says though, we are confident that this is not the end.
See you later, sweet girl. ❤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
