we love you, brother jack.

One of the most dear, kind hearted men I have ever had the privilege to know, our precious Brother Jack, beloved by so many of us, has passed away. He has been ill and was receiving excellent hospice care – but we are still terribly sad to say goodbye.

I’ve said over the years, ever since I met him, that he is exactly what I imagine Jesus to be like, with his loving nature and warm hugs and gentle spirit that you always just ran towards when you saw him – and the best smile and chuckle ever. ❤

Years ago, when my children were little, he spent hours and hours teaching our group of friends through entire books of the Bible on Sunday nights while the littles were in kid’s activities. He gave so much of himself and his time doing this, long after he had retired – and he had forgotten more than I will ever know about Scripture and had so much to share. I will treasure those times spent with him and with all of our friends as well. ❤

We spent time some wonderful times with him, like years at church retreat at Camp Sumatanga with him and his wife – as well as some really hard times with him, like his preaching my dear friend Andrea’s memorial service, a hard, hard day. He was such a dear soul to all of us, no matter the situation.

His wife, Miss Peggy, is every bit as lovely and kind and beloved as he is – and is in my prayers and on my heart constantly right now.

Our hearts are heavy as we prepare for his memorial service this week – because, oh my word, will he ever be missed here – but the saints and angels and heavens are rejoicing now over his dear soul coming home. ❤

We love you so much, Brother Jack and Miss Peggy.

two of the most precious souls I know. ❤

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Grace and Blessings.
