my precious aunt madge.

Earlier this week, I went with my parents up to North Alabama for my precious Aunt Madge’s funeral. She was one of my dear Grandmother’s older sisters – and they are all very much alike and just wonderful saintly ladies.

(I wrote once about their amazing and oh-so-precious mother, my great-Grandmother as well as my Grandmother and I’m sharing it here as well because all of the Humphries women just had the most amazing, loving, faithful, strong spirits I have ever known.)

strong like my grandmothers.

These ladies are so special – and I can’t say enough good things about Aunt Madge and what she meant to all of us.

Aunt Madge’s Obituary.

She had been terribly ill and was ready to go to Jesus – but it is never easy to say goodbye.

It was heartbreaking to see my beloved cousins in the same pain I walked through at my own Grandmother’s funeral – and not be able to ease their hurt.

These are hard hard days.

Still, we are greatly comforted by Aunt Madge’s strong faith.

always. ❤

Her service was just lovely and she was remembered so well.

One thing that just spoke to my heart because it was so perfectly Aunt Madge was that, because she loved hymn sings and Sacred Heart music so much her whole life, a few special hymns were selected to be sung during her service.

aunt madge’s hymn. ❤

She would have absolutely loved that.

And we love her always. ❤

trusting Him.

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Grace and Blessings.
