Y’all, it’s hard to find the right words to describe the hurricane that has been the past few weeks in the Hippie Hut.
It has seemed like every time I’ve tried to share an update on one thing, something else has happened and I didn’t even know where to start anymore.
That said, I decided to write a few posts this week on all that has been going on here, starting with my recent health issues.
Last month, one of my photos of the day was a emergency room picture:

After all we’ve been through, I hate hospital days and will do anything to avoid going – but I was in unbelievable right sided pain and couldn’t put it off.
I already have a hernia that I knew was going to have to be repaired – but this was a different type of pain.
With a CT scan – and then an ultrasound to get a different view – the ER identified a mass of some sort in my right ovary as the source of my pain.
Of course, this sent me fairly emergently to my GYN – and his scan confirmed an 8cm mass.
Hopefully, of course, it will be benign – but we have to remove it to know exactly what is going on.
(As I have a significant family history of breast cancer, all breast and ovarian issues cause us to spring into action.)
I’ve already – years ago – had a partial hysterectomy – so we will be removing my ovaries – and we also met with a surgeon to repair my hernia at the same time because it is large and quite painful.
Getting these surgeries coordinated was no small task – with one doctor scheduled to be out of town for a week in between – so the procedure is still two weeks away now.
I am not feeling well in the interim and I am so thankful for my precious family taking such good care of me as we are waiting. ♥️
(Tonight or tomorrow I will be posting again with another update on the recent Hippie Hut Hurricane. We are all okay – this has just been an unbelievable few weeks.)

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
