My surgery day is approaching next week – so today I was scheduled for my final pre-op doctor’s visit as well pre-admission testing.

Everything went well at my first stop – with labs and EKGs – as well as talking with my doctor, getting instructions, and signing consent forms.

After that appointment, I made a second stop at Kirklin Clinic to offer up my other arm for some additional labs my rheumatologist ordered.

(I also ran into my dear friend of some thirty years, Lissa, there – which absolutely made my day ♥️).

It was an exhausting hospital day for sure – but I am so relieved to be closer to my surgery date.
