As planned, I had surgery on Thursday, removing my ovaries and repairing an umbilical hernia.
In terms of the actual procedure, everything went well and I came home that day.
My GYN reported seeing significant endometriosis during his part of the operation – so, hopefully, the mass in my right ovary will likely also be endometriosis related. We are still waiting on that pathology to be certain.
I must say, however, in terms of pain and fatigue, this has been one of my more difficult surgeries.
I am still contending with significant pain – including some CRPS type pain at the site of my umbilical repair – and having GI issues as well.
I am also just wiped out.
Of course, today (Sunday), is only Day 3 post op, so none of this is really out of the ordinary – I just honestly didn’t expect this particular procedure to be so difficult, relative to the ones I’ve experienced in the past.
As it is now, I am getting lots of rest and my family is taking excellent care of me. Hopefully I will be up and about in the next few days – and will share as soon as I hear from the pathology report as well.

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
