Here in the Hippie Hut, I’m still in my New Year’s Plague Era, quarantined with Dr. Ollie and Dr. Teddy in our bedroom.
I’ve experienced an assortment of symptoms since this began, a sort of combination of flu and flare that has changed daily – and sometimes even hourly.
Where have I landed with the plague this morning?
Today (so far) the symptoms:
Sinus drainage (but I am on an antibiotic for secondary infections so at least it is clear now), sore throat, and some chest tightness are the relatively tolerable issues. The more severe and bothersome are a wicked headache, unbelievable reflux/nausea, terrible body pain, with the tender spots I have all over my body due to my autoimmune disease so inflamed that I screamed when Ollie stepped on one – 🤦🏻♀️ – and, finally, positively overwhelming fatigue. #goodgrief
spoonie sickness + regular human sickness = Laid. Out. 🤦🏻♀️
Still, it will get better, and I am so blessed that my precious family is taking such good care of me as I’m snoodled up, mending.
Not only are they making sure I have everything I need, but, y’all, yesterday my amazing better half brought me just a room full of flowers to brighten my spirits.
Oh my heart. ♥️♥️♥️

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other (and be so careful out there in this flu/covid situation).
Grace and Blessings.
