Big picture, I have the best life and I am so grateful for my wonderful husband, my fabulous buggle, the world’s best weenie dog, our cozy hippie hut, my precious parents, my amazing bestie and other dear friends, a church I love, piles of books, music, plants. . . So many blessings.
Still, I think we are all feeling the weight of the current events that are so terrible and COVID-19 and quarantine and fear. It’s been so heavy.
Also, unfortunately, I’ve been battling the pain flare from hell over the weekend.
So, today, when I saw Elizabeth Gilbert’s post on Instagram, it got me thinking.
“Do something different till better comes along.”
I’m not sure WHEN better is coming along in terms of COVID and quarantine – or this flare for that matter – but something different seems like it might be in order.
And I’ve gotten a ton of “Christmas in July” emails.
And Christmas is my favorite.
Soooo. . .
I’ve decided to give myself the rest of the day off from heavy bad news. And change into my Christmas pjs. And catch up on my reading. And make hot chocolate. And watch Christmas movies all day.
Merry Christmas, y’all!
Buddy the Elf. What’s your favorite color? 😉
Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
