It’s the first week of Advent and this week is different – like everything else this year – as church services are all virtual and we are all celebrating Advent separately together in our own homes.
Still, it is a beautiful season of waiting expectantly for Christ – and so needed, especially after this year filled with strife.
Our church, always SO loving and thoughtful, delivered these beautiful gift bags filled with Advent devotional goodies so we would be prepared to study and celebrate individually this week.
As we’ve started the study, our theme is “Those Who Dream” and the Theme Chapter is Psalm 126. I’ve found it to be just amazing and I want to share it with y’all:
The candles of Advent symbolize Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace. Goodness knows we can all use lots of those – especially now – and our devotional has been just lovely so far so I’ll be sharing little snippets as I go along towards Christmas.
I’m still pretty sickly and piled up in bed so I’ve decided to dig into my Advent reading and fully investigate the tv holiday schedule and make extra merry this year.
Wishing y’all the happiest December as well! 🎄
Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
