some levity for this time.

I awakened in the late AM on my weird sleep schedule to the world on fire on Friday with abortion and gun control and the news and social media moving ninety to nothing and just unrest all around.

As it happens, this summer is kind of a weird and heavy time in my work where two projects have intersected – my death book and also a body image/eating disorders project I got really interested in as a result of a paper I wrote in one of my classes.

Sooo. . . I spend a lot of time reading about death and eating disorders . . .

And, to bring it all together, my summer class now is freaking math. . . Lil’ word nerd with the intractable migraine wants to Run. Away.

Good times. 🙂

In this process, my sick nurse sense of humor has REALLY sprung to life (haha) – and now the meme gods must have sensed my need because several really funny – and somewhat iffy 😉 – memes appeared, prompting me to: 1) save them & 2) decide to share some of my better finds for anyone else who has had enough of the heaviness and doesn’t need another diatribe about how it’s all shite today (we already know).

So, if you are prone to pearl clutching – no worries, I love you, just come back next time maybe? And, if not, Happy Saturday, y’all. 🙂

I’m off for a nap and then on one beast of a math class deadline – and we’re all in this together over the next several days – so look out, everyone. 😉
