again.

Here we are again, another mass shooting – this time a rooftop shooter at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

6 dead. 24 Injured.

Countless others fleeing for their lives, no doubt with lasting trauma.

Rescue workers facing the same.

an image from the Chicago Tribune that speaks volumes for this devastating day.

Unfortunately, it has become something that is American in the worst kind of way – and just a few weeks ago we saw a ruling from SCOTUS going in the absolute wrong direction with gun laws.

It’s just surreal.

It feels like we are memorializing victims of another mass tragedy every month or so anymore.

We don’t know the names of those who were killed yet, only that the victims of this attack range in age from an eight year old to someone in their eighties.

Thoughts and prayers alone aren’t enough, y’all. They MUST be backed up by meaningful change. This has to stop.

A society that has this sort of random violence is NOT free.

And, again, I share this:

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Grace and Blessings.
