don’t be afraid, child of God – and look for the good things.

I don’t know about y’all but my social media feeds – as well as my email inbox with all of its news updates – can be pretty unpleasant these days.

The election news is so stressing, there is a massive COVID disinformation campaign that is just making me so freaking angry, and, in the meantime, COVID is beginning to explode with its second wave.

Here in my state, Coach Saban from the University of Alabama as well as the Athletic Director at the school were diagnosed yesterday.

Oh my word.

While I, of course, will stay informed, it doesn’t do me any good, especially as I’m trying to get well, to see constant negativity on my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds.

It just makes me upset and frightened.

As I was JUST sitting and thinking about those things, I opened my Instagram and this from She Reads Truth was what I saw first.

A total God thing.

Don’t be afraid. God’s got this. ❤

Then I decided to catch up on my Dr. Dray listening on YouTube while I read my Real Simple.

(Sara and I HAD to go to Walmart yesterday to get some things and it was a total zoo and took forever and has left me in MAJOR pain so I’m trying to rest and heal right now. I was even doing my falling asleep sitting up – and staying there – that I haven’t done in some time when we got home. My body is not happy.)

When I started paging through my magazine, one of the first things I came to was the Reader of the Month. She seems like a fabulous lady altogether and there is one thing in particular she said that I just LOVE.

Her social media philosophy: If it’s not beautiful, refreshing, or hilarious, unfollow.

YES.

Some parts of my Instagram have gotten really unpleasant – and I am cleaning house. It will be an encouraging place when I am done.

In this stressful season, perhaps you might want to consider doing so as well.

A few other things that have given me life right now?

My Scentsy finally had seen its better days and I got some fabulous new wax melts from my friend McKenna’s boutique so I was on the hunt. This beautiful and super inexpensive new warmer found me during the Battle of Walmart.

It’s the New York skyline and the light flickers and it’s SO pretty. ❤

Also, right now, I still am having major GI issues and all kinds of food intolerances – but I have to find some things I can eat because of my blood sugar issues as well as my many meds I have to take. It’s difficult at times like this.

Well, so far, it’s been Cracker Barrel carrots and green beans – until this fabulous discovery.

In high school, I took Mahatma Red Beans and Rice for lunch every day for quite awhile. We’ve been friends for a long time. 😉

Well, its gluten free, vegan, $1.34 a bag at Walmart, and it is its own food group as far as I’m concerned right now. Hallelujah.

And when we got home from the Battle of Walmart?

Sara Bug sent me straight to get in my spot with Henry while she made us dinner and my better half kept watch on me all evening too. ❤

It’s important to remember to be thankful for our daily, much needed blessings. ❤

It’s also important to keep close to our hearts that God’s got all of this, even when it is so scary.

He said, “Don’t be afraid, friend. Peace. Everything is going to be all right. Take courage. Be strong.” – Daniel 10:19 (The Message)

“Don’t be afraid,” he said, “for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!” – Daniel 10:19 (New Living Translation)

Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each to other.

Grace and Blessings.

An encouragement. Love this song so much. ❤
