I love Ellie Holcomb – and Drew too – and my husband and I enjoy streaming their live shows for date night when we can but I haven’t gotten to see them in person live before now.
Tonight was Ellie night. ❤
(I have been looking forward to it for some time.)
Sara and I got to go see her at Canterbury United Methodist Church singing some of her church music as well as a good bit of Christmas music and also leading Christmas carols.
Because we arrived early, we actually got to sit on the front row which was just fantastic too. ❤
She sounded absolutely amazing and – as always – was so sweet and funny.
I also brought home her devotional, Fighting Words, that I’ve been wanting to start for awhile now – and I am so excited to jump in while I’m on winter break. ❤
(I also will mention that Ellie does what she calls “Fighting Words Fridays” each week on her Instagram where she shares and focuses on a different scripture each week. I have been meaning to start something similar as I think it is such a lovely idea – and this seems like the perfect week to start our “Fighting Words Fridays” here too.)
I had the best time with our Sara Bug and the show was wonderful, a blessing for sure. ❤
Today’s Christmas song is Ellie’s Christmas Medley:
Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other – and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 8 of blogmas.
Grace and Blessings.
