Yesterday, Sara, Henry, and I were out in the sleigh, listening to Christmas music, and running some errands before our first real cold blast of the year comes through, as my CRPS legs don’t take very well to cold and we plan to be home and warm during it. Henry was wearing his first Christmas shirt of the season and all of the bright, sparkly decorations were out to see in the stores.
It was wonderful.
It also reminded me, especially since my last post was so heavy, that, as we begin the Holiday season in our home this year and Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away, I want to share some simple gratitude thoughts as well.
I have so so much to be thankful for and will be sprinkling in posts throughout the season.
Today’s involves one of a spoonie’s favorite things: pajamas.
And, of course, one of my very favorite people: Henry.
Last Christmas season, I was SO stinking excited to find matching PJ’s for Henry & me:

We had sooo much fun and I was stoked for our new Christmas tradition.
However, as y’all know, this year hit us HARD healthwise.
Henry became critically ill a few times and we were so afraid.
I also faced a serious medical crisis that lasted for months.
It was just an incredibly difficult and frightening time.
BUT. . .
The Lord saw us through and healed us of those scary things and we are here in our spot, in our toasties, planning our books and work and Christmas movies for the day.
For that miracle alone, I will never stop giving thanks.
So, when Sara and I were at Walmart two nights ago and I was able to pick out these?

All I could think was, “Thank You, Lord. Thank You. Thank You.” ❤
Be well, everybody. Take care of yourselves and each other.
Grace and Blessings.
